* The campus tour felt very customized and personal * The scholars looked very happy *Our tour was traveling downstairs & scholar at the bottom of the staircase patiently and respectfully waited until we had passed before he attempted to ascend. (We were all very impressed with that gesture because he was pressed for time to get to where he was going!) * Scholars politely held the doors open to let our tour pass * Scholars changed classes in a very efficient and orderly way * Scholars held their own conversations while the teachers engaged with us. (This is remarkable because the scholars did not break from what they were doing to focus on the tour...she says if that were to happen in a Public school setting, the classroom would turn their attention to the tour in search of the slightest distraction.) *Scholars appeared to be enjoying their classes and each other *The classroom designs were inspiring *Dance class is the place to be! *The middle school lockers looked like so much fun!
This is the safest place for your child, physically and emotionally. Every staff member you come in contact with is so peaceful and happy. My (used to be) shy daughter has flourished tremendously. She’s now going on stage, performing dances, speaking into a microphone, she has become more brave than I ever was! Because of a such a safe and supportive environment, the way the students interact peacefully and cheer each other along is like no other place. I could go on and on, we are forever grateful for One School!
I have a high schooler going into her 8th year at One School. What I really love about this school is the heart the teachers have for the scholars, they show genuine love and care for them individually, academically and spiritually, my daughter even calls one of her teachers her spiritual mentor. This school challenges her and provides different experiences to help her grow that can be used in the "real world" later in life. She is a theatre kid and loves the many stage opportunities she can participate in throughout the year whether it's an open mic performance or a musical/play. She absolutely loves her teachers as well, going to school isn't a chore like most places, there is always something new and exciting happening which makes every day an adventure!
