Review Seminole State College of Florida
I started going here when the campus was new, and its in a great location! They have so many subjects but I do wish they had all classes at each campus, like for early childhood you are mainly at Sanford, while this is not that far , the Altamonte campus is much more convenient for me. I also wish they had a veterinary technology program, with so many kids wanting to major in the vet field , I feel this would help get great local students on the right path. I had to change my major because it was just too much run around work to get the credentials needed to be a vet tech. All in all this school is very great, nice teachers, great atmosphere and all around a great school.
As I finish my first semester at Seminole State College, I would like to see the Student Clubs better prepared at the beginning of the year. The posters are out-dated and it is difficult to get accurate information regarding meeting days and times. When I try to get information from people at the front desk, it varies depending of who is present. On a more pleasant note, I find the classes engaging and easy to learn the information from the professors. One particular example would be in my political ideology class. My professor usually goes to great length to make sure that we understand the concepts that he is attempting to teach. He also provides us with ample class discussions so that we can bounce ideas off of one another. All in all I would give my school 5 stars!
I love Seminole State and feel very comfortable attended here and safe as well. I like that Seminole State offers cheaper prices for classes you could be taking over at a University and on top of that gives you direct access into University of Central Florida! It's all together an amazing opportunity, especially for those of us who can't exactly afford to be taking classes at a University yet.
