Junior: I just wanted to give a shoutout to my high school, Trinity Prep. It's seriously the best school ever! The teachers are amazing and give excellent instruction to help us succeed. They're always there to help and provide guidance when we need it. One thing I really love about Trinity Prep is the positive vibe on campus. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly, which makes it a great place to learn and grow. The teachers also create personalized learning plans for each student, so we can focus on our strengths and work on areas where we need improvement. In addition to academics, Trinity Prep offers so many fun extracurricular activities like sports, music, and drama. There's never a dull moment at this school! Senior: After switching from my old elementary school to this school, I found it to be a drastic change. There are different buildings for each category of students (elementary, middle, high) and they're not all that big, however, the intelligence and diversity of this school make up for it! I've made friends of many different cultures and I've never met so many people who are of the same culture as me. I take college classes in addition to my high school classes, and I'm even graduating a year early to get a headstart on college. This school is primarily A student, and 90% of the teachers actually care about their students and prioritize their education. I love my teachers, I could never ask for better ones. Senior: Being a part of the first graduating class of this school has been such a wonderful experience! I was even lucky enough to witness the state of the art institution being built from the ground up. With college level laboratories and a maker space that has tons of equipment, going to this school has been a great experience! While the school has an undeniably rigorous course load, this has made me feel extremely prepared for any college I may pursue in the future. Senior: I love the First Academy, I began coming to TFA last year. I was instantly accepted and so loved. My College advisors pay so much attention to college pathways and mental health. Administration is very strict on dress code, but they have the best intentions. There are so many opportunity's for everyone here whether that is Coding, fine arts, childcare, sports, or service. The extensive amounts of clubs, committees, and student involvement is just insane. I would not want to choose another high school to graduate from. Alum: Historic layout, familial ties, incredible spirit for all the sports and 100% inclusion for all people. That’s the best way to describe the feel of the school. So many programs available it’s impossible to take part in each one. I chose guitar and learned to read music and play at a high level. My cousin chose engineering and a my sister culinary arts. I’d say we have the bases covered! My mom graduated 29 years ago from my school and had her name and a brief quote carved into fresh concrete. She passed away last year so everyday I get to walk by her “square” and see her name in her handwriting. Winter Park High School loves to stay connected to its past and it alumni and you can tell just by listening to the passion about the school in my family’s and friend’s voices. It’s easy to get nostalgic even now. I haven’t left yet for college but ache for lunchtime outside under the trees with my cousin, sister and friends. Senior: Olympia overall has been an outstanding high school experience, from the students and teachers, to the different events and celebrations. Having the first year of your high school experience be completely altered with an pandemic was not something any of us had in mind, but Olympia pushed through and Freshman year will be something to remember - for better or worse. In my experience, the teachers at Olympia are hit or miss - you could go from a very passionate, inspiring, life-changing teacher in one period, to a teacher who the students all believe should never have been a teacher. The same goes for all the different school events; the sports games were another world of enjoyment, and so were some of the different art performances, but there were a few events that could have had more effort put into them. Alum: I transfered to The Master's Academy in the beginning of my junior year along with my sisters (freshman & senior). It was daunting coming into the new school due to high expectations and standards as well the intense vigor of many of the classes. However, I was lucky and had a few key teachers who gave me guidance and encouraged me to improve and adapt to the school. However, my sisters weren't as lucky and had a few teachers that were unorganized and at times rude. I shared this experience in my senior year with an advisor of a society on campus. Senior: Oviedo High school is one of the best high schools in Seminole county. Accelerated courses, such as AP, Dual enrollment, and IB are all offered. The pass rate for most of the AP courses taught at Oviedo high school is high. I've attended Is school for four years. I was able to help with diversifying the clubs offered on campus by creating a Black Student Union that is open to all. The sports programs at Oviedo High school are also A1. Most of Oviedo's team go to districts during their seasons. The staff at Oviedo high school is also supportive and professional. My school also prioritizes safety on campus. Senior: Hagerty High School has provided me with a safe and caring place as a center of learning with teachers who are passionate about the subjects they teach and go beyond the realm of their job description to truly help their students learn and succeed in their class. During my time here I have gone to afterschool math tutoring sessions held by my math teacher at the time who would put in time with each student individually and help out with certain topics or homework that they didn't understand at all or simply needed some extra guidance with. This is just one example of many in which teachers have gone out of their way to help students succeed. I however believe that worst part of my school is the lack of school sponsored spirit events. These events, although a privilege, play an important part within a schools identity and the pride that a student within it feels. Junior: West Orange High School is overall an AMAZING school. I would rate it a 4.8/5. The classes have a great variety, especially for the non-core classes. There’s photography, speech and debate, and even a agriculture class. Many things to choose from. This also goes for clubs! There’s beta club, bowling club, and a mental health awareness club (great for this generation that really wishes to make a change.) Id even argue that there’s too many to choose from.
