I attended this school through all four years of high school. This school employs excellent instructors, who not only fill you with information and understanding, but also invest into their students and desire to see them succeed. If there were to be one knock on this school, it would be that the students in general view themselves as better than every other school in the state, almost as though they are somehow "above" other students in the state. However, from a college-readiness and academic perspective, Carmel High School does an excellent job!

Carmel is, overall, an absolutely fantastic school. To deny that is to be ignorant of everything it provides and the privileges it gives to it’s students. And while it’s evident just how wonderful the education and opportunities are at Carmel, there’s much that can be bettered, if not completely changed. Many are little things, and they don’t take away completely from the shine that Carmel so knowingly exudes. But they full the school, none the less. It could do for a better councilor system, and a better handling in their anonymous reports (Or reports from students and parents in general). The school is wonderful, and the education it’s provided me is something I have to remind myself constantly that many dream to have. But like all things, it’s not perfect!
Overall, Carmel High School does an excellent job preparing students for college. Student can choose to take rigorous classes in diverse areas. The size of the school also means there are many diverse classes taken, so students can choose niche classes. Additionally, Carmel's large population means there are hundreds of clubs and school organizations in which students can get involved. However, the size also comes with the draw back that many students find it hard to stick out from the crowd. Many students means large classes which can sometimes feel impersonal. Additionally, the heavy emphasis on sports leads means the school is lacking in other areas.
