Valencia College Reviews
Class sizes are small and professors usually make an effort to know everyone in the class. Some professors are amazing and genuinely want to help students learn and succeed; however, some are also lazy or unclear in their assignment directions. It's definitely important to research to find the best professor for your learning style. Overall, I've had a very positive experience at Valencia. The library is an amazing resource with free computers and study rooms available. The books there have helped me immensely with my essays. Some information is best found in books, rather than online. The college is also subscribed to a wide variety of academic journals, which are also useful for research or just for leisure reading. Academic advisers are readily available to help students plan their academic and/or professional careers, and a tutoring center is often open to help with difficult classes. There's so many resources available to students that it's almost a challenge to fail!
I find the caliber of the professors superb, and personal interaction is easy with the smaller classroom atmosphere. Valencia is the perfect stepping stone for a student interested in moving onto a larger University. I feel that there are always resources and help for whatever I may be struggling with. The comfort brought about due to this asset, is extremely important to me and my fellow classmates. In addition, whether through email or extensive office hours, the professors are very available. Subsequently, I feel that Valencia has helped me create a strong foundation that will surely benefit me in my venture to UCF!
Valencia is such a home, to be honest! Especially the Osceola campus, student life there is amazing! The class size is just right and you get one on one learning with your professors. Not only is Valencia a healthy learning environment, you get your bang for your buck! Attending Valencia saves you thousands of dollars when it comes to your general courses which were a big YES for me! They also offer a variety of scholarships for their incoming freshman which is a HUGE help if you need help paying for college. Overall Valencia is phenomenal and I would totally recommend!
