West Fargo Sheyenne High School Reviews
Rating 3.95 out of 5 129 reviews
I transferred to West Fargo Sheyenne High School my sophomore year, and I’ll be graduating as a senior this year. Firstly, the school population is huge which is great for forming new friendships and connections with many students. However, one key aspect I noticed throughout my time here is how isolating it can feel as a transfer student because majority of students already have an established friend group, commonly since childhood or elementary. However, that didn’t bother me as I put myself out there and ended up making numerous connections with both students and teachers who have supported me throughout high school. Secondly, we’re the biggest high school in North Dakota which puts immense expectations due to our size. However, this only prompts us to strive towards success in sports and academics to represent our school. Lastly, staff and administrators truly do care about you especially with tough love. Don’t be afraid to ask for help and let loose as someone will care about you.
I think my school is great at making people feel welcomed and loved which is very important to have within a school. However, it would be nice to have more college readiness to experience within my high school.
My favorite experience with Sheyenne High School and WFPS in general is their dedication to the arts, specifically inside the theatres. Our theatre programs are better supported than most of the colleges is the area whether it be the tech side, costumes, or even being able to pay for extra staff. This funding has helped influence many students to pursue musical theater as a major and inspired hobbies in others.
