Alum: Science Academy was a great school in terms of education quality and classmates. We were also given direct access to advanced equipment in the engineering lab such as 3D Printers, Acrylic Printing Machines, Multiple Cutting Devices, and more- all for free! I am also very fond of the environment I was immersed in. Science Academy is a very competitive school. Its environment only motivated me to do better in my classes. The only thing that kept me from giving this rating a 5 stars was the sudden shift in rules that dampened my senior year. Administration changed a lot of the long term traditions that I anticipating enjoying when I was a freshman and definitely looked forward to as a senior such as the Renfest trip, Collaboration on Fridays, and being able to enjoy lunches with my Med High friends. Middle School Student: STPA is such a healthy and understanding environment to be in. All the teachers fully understand the student point of view and help all feel challenged at their own pace. The faculty and administration tries their hardest to help any student who is having difficulty or stress. One thing very noticeable is that the students above all have anyone’s back and are very friendly in various situations. Though STPA is known for its rigorous academics, their various sports and clubs thrive. Organizations like UIL, NJHS, Student Council and more are found at STPA. The sports would include volleyball, basketball, soccer, golf, kickball, football, track, and fitness clubs, like weight training. Not only does STPA offer these many sports, but the students excel! The girls volleyball team is an undefeated Texas Champion, and the track team has also placed in state competitions! Junior: I have been going to South Texas ISD Health Professions since my Freshman year of High school. I have built so many friendships and relationships. They have the most amazing daily schedules, so I am never overwhelmed or overworked. They have no school uniform policy which really lets students express who they are and allow students to have religious freedom in their style of clothing. Senior: World Scholars, as well as the district, have been fantastic. Since junior high, I've been a student in the STISD district, and they have the best instructors. The teachers here are what keep you moving forward; even if you think something is impossible, they will always try to work with you to find a solution; their want to teach you is apparent; it is their passion. The IB classes and dual enrollment programs at World Scholars set it apart from other schools. You can either complete the IB diploma program in its whole or take dual enrollment courses at UTRGV or STC, or take both IB for the diploma and dual! Alum: Majority of my experience at Sharyland High School was beneficial to me as a student where I learned a great deal of qualities and overall knowledge. I was in the marching band and I enrolled in honors, AP, and dual courses and I can say now as a college student, they have helped me prepare for the courses I have taken at university. I had excellent professors, amazing friends that made school even better, and memories that I will never forget. I got opportunities such as performing at the Alamodome twice due to qualifying for State through band, something that has never been done in Sharyland High School history. I was able to travel to Dallas for State twice because I participated in Business Professionals of America and qualified for State Finals both times as well. Best of all, I was able to attend Disney World for the first time on my life with my friends as a trip through band. Parent: All throughout Highschool I've been pushed by my coaches and teachers who I have close relationships with, which is mainly all my teachers since in Idea they all strive to better their student and to show that they matter. The environment is nice and the school is not very crowded. Its a great school for wanting to be better in your academics its also a great so for sports, although we don't have the required facilities as a regular public school, our school strives to make the best out of training and having to share a field with all the other sports and athletes we still manage to get great training in, in order to be successful in the sport. You have great motivation to excel in academics you teachers check up on your grades and make sure to see to it that you are passing so that you could have a great start to moving forward into college.... Middle School Student: I was here at morris for only my 6th grade year during the 1999-2000 school year. I really loved this school when I went here and I felt really safe in the environment I was in. And also whenever you would report someone they actually do their job and they take care of it immediately. The teachers were really awesome and it helped me prepare for college. I know I was only here for 6th grade, but the reason why is because when they built Cathey Middle School in 2000 it was closer where I lived so I moved there, but I loved Morris a lot, so if your thinking of sending your children to Morris, do it, I highly recommend it, and you wont regret it.... Alum: Juan Diego Academy is the school for those wondering what they want to do with their life, it supplies ways to express their creative outlets and talents. Not only was JDA an excellent school but it also provided me with a lot of knowledge about how life will be once I enter the real world. One of the most helpful classes for me, was religion, it helped me gain a new outlook on life and I highly recommend their counselor, Veronica Rodriguez. Senior: Best opportunities and the best teachers to ever exist. I loved it so so much here. Small school but never ever boring and I loved everyone who attended with me. It’s scary going into a smaller school but somehow there was more opportunities there than anywhere else. We were all blessed with the opportunity for an Associates degree and many of us were able to accomplish that. Achieve does a good job of taking care of their students by being constantly asked how they are, students interacting well with teachers and even just days where learning is made extra fun. Not only that, the district is great as well. Like I said, we were always checked up on and being in a small school, everyone was friends and there was still the best parts of high school. Middle School Student: I have been there since I was in Pre-k through 5th grade. And since I was there the experience was great and all the sports there is amazing with the coaches, and the teachers are really awesome. Everything is awesome there and I really recommend taking your child to this school. And starting in Pre-k because through out the years your child will have an INCREDIBLE experience in elementary.
