Achieve Early College High School is an excellent school with many opportunities available for students willing to work. It is hard at first to get used to but once you start you feel rewarded in the end. The teachers are always available to hear students' concerns and questions regarding lectures, classwork, or problems they have with college. This school has allowed me to experience college and high school at the same time helping me gain college credit and form connections with like-minded intellectual students. This school is not for the weak as the work can be rigorous since it is a high school that is dual enrollment. This means they do not only do high school but college at the same time. This has allowed me to gain time management skills and has helped me learn how to use my time wisely so that way I can study and have a life outside of school.
I really liked the staff, students, and overall work environment. Everyone makes you want to accomplish being the best possible version of yourself. You get to not only gain a high school education but also obtain an associate's degree. This saves college money and helps your education advance. Taking college classes also teaches you about responsibility, time management and self reliance.
Achieve is possibly the best school ever and gives students such a successful outcome and opportunity. Having the chance to not graduate with a high school diploma but also having the opportunity to take college credit hours and courses at South Texas College and being able to graduate with an Associate’s degree is absolutely a blessing. It helps not only the students be able to be ahead in their education but help out families with saving money especially those in need. My experience at my school was one of the best ones yet, it being a small school really helped in being a 1:1 ratio when needed. The staff and teachers knew all the students and with that said really helped each of us individually being able to be the best students we could be to our abilities and pushed me to succeed. Without them and this very special program I would not be the person I am today.
