Since STCA is a small school, both students and teachers develop a family like relationship, but no family is perfect. The main down side of the school is out of the control of the administration. Students tend to gossip about petty things that mainly stem from misunderstandings. Another downside is that STCA provides less advanced classes and has no clubs due to the fact that it is private and has no monetary support to depend on. Despite these things, it still provides opportunity for students to learn not only about God, and the regular lessons, but also about other cultures and perspectives from around the world. You meet a lot of international students from countries in Asia, and South & Central America. I think it is a great school because I know that the friends that I made are for life, and that the things that I learned will be much more useful in life than any AP course that I could've taken in a charter school.

Great place to send your children for a top education in the state of Texas. The instructors are attentive and are well trained. Setting your child up for success is definitely their main concern. In my 10 years of going to school at South Texas Christian Academy, I made quite a few friends and learned many things. In my opinion STCA doesn't have the best academic system, but it's good enough to gain a good amount of knowledge. Some students that attend the school are not Christians, they are Catholic. Even though there are some differences in the religions, those who are not Christian are eager to learn things about the Christian denomination and the rest of the students, as well as the teachers are happy to explain what it is to be a Christian. One thing that I think needs to be changed is that the curriculum is a little less challenging, but other than that, I think it's a good school.
