Freshman: What can I say about Homelink River? I have a long connection and deep roots within the school, which allows me to explain my experience with the school in a broad light. I have been attending the school since Kindergarten, which causes this current year to be my tenth school year in the school. River strives to connect parents, students, and teachers to allow parents to be invested in their student's learning and provide the best support possible. The flexibility of the schedule allows River to be adaptive to students with diverse needs. Almost all of the teachers I have been privileged to be taught by have been incredible. They attempt to connect with students and are deeply engaged in their topics of education, which allow their students to become excited about the material. With parent involvement on campus being so high, as well as the overall tone of the school, bullying is almost non-existent. River has provided me with an excellent educational experience.... Parent: Hockinson Heights Elementary is a wonderful school with awesome teachers and great parent involvement. My child enjoys going to school and feels he is being challenged daily to reach full potential by kind supportive teachers. My husband and I never worry about safety at the school. Parent: Excellent School with high expectations for all students and they have a fantastic Dual Immersion Program my students are in. My twins are in the 1st grade and I have been very happy. Middle school student: I used to be a middle schooler at Cam and I had problems with the science teacher of 7-8th grade. He would never grade anything and even when I contacted him and the principle about this issue only a couple of my assignments would ever be graded. This made it really hard for me to keep a good grade in his class because I didn’t know what I was doing wrong on assignments and how I could fix them until the end of the school year. Whenever I would ask him about it he always dismissed me and would say “ He needs time to help other students that aren’t doing as good”. I understand this. But if we’re taking months to help students that aren’t doing as good. Then maybe it’s not the right school for them. It’s not a problem if a teacher helps a student but when it deliberately affects my grade then there’s a problem. Many others also contacted him about this. I know he has lots of classes but so do I. Senior: My overall experience at Harmony Elementary School was very positive and prepared me for my further education. I grew up with my mom teaching at the school, so I got more of an in depth experience compared to a regular kid. I always felt safe at the school and had a sense of belonging within my peers and teachers. I only have positive memories from this school and can think of countless memories I've experienced at Harmony, from science fairs, to participating in STEM Academy and the amazing teachers I have had....
