Parent: On all levels LLT exceeds my expectations as a parent. My kids want to go to school. They love going every day. They thrive from the friendly caring staff,who greet then with smiles and hugs. Every teach, support staff, and administrative team member looks after the kids as if they were their own. I feel my kids are safe every day when I drop them off, I know they have a clean school and a friendly caring lunch room staff that prepares great food. The communication between staff and parents is wonderful. When we moved, moving away from the school was not an option for me or my kids. We drive the extra 30 minutes to get there because it's worth it. They are offered all the electives and plenty of extracurricular activities. Middle school student: These previous comments are very strange to read. My daughters have been at Independence for several years now. I have never seen Graffiti on the walls, they have never been exposed to drugs or smoking. We love our school and love all the after school clubs and sports that allow them to develop team building, sportsmanship, and intrapersonal skills from such a young age. There have clubs from many areas of interest. Our biggest downfall has been teacher turnover- however we have had at least one teacher each year that has gone above and beyond for our children. I have had teachers move me to tears with their interest and investment in our children's personal development. Stay late for tutoring and ensuring they are mastering skills and offer so much support. Communication is often lacking, which is my biggest complaint with the school, but overall we have had a great experience here... Read 11 reviews

Parent: Well into our first year at KCC SE, I must say it has been an enjoyable experience! The staff and faculty are all engages and invested in the success of both the kids and the partnership with the parents. The curriculum is challenging and application of education is flexible meeting the needs of each student. Senior: The staff and teachers there are very welcoming and kind first of all. My experience there was overall wonderful from 1st grade all the way to 8th grade. They really do try their hardest to provide equal opportunities for success. Their diversity is what I love most about it because it's so nice to see everyone of a different race, gender, sexual orientation, etc be in such a friendly, loving, and accepting environment during a fun school event. Senior: I first started high school at strawberry crest and I have to say that while I was studying there it was the worst experience in my teenage years. Most staff members hated their jobs and a few of them were discriminating minorities. Not only was I miserable there but my grades where the worst. I knew I was smart but I just lacked motivation, motivation that strawberry crest students and staff members could not provide. But in my sophomore year I was offered to relocate at Simmons career center, I was a little spectacle at first but I started to get to know the staff members and students. As I got to know them I realized that this school fits me more, all of the teachers here are exceptional. Parent: The Broach School of Tampa has been a game changer for my family. Both of my children hit a wall socially in middle school. They were stressed out and it was obvious. I kept hearing about Broach School. I took a tour and was immediately impressed by Dr. Oak and her office manager, Holly. Dr. Oak knows what she is doing and they are passionate about children. This is a perfect place for sweet children that need to find "their people". My children have true friends now. They come home happy every day and it is reflective in our nice, calm evenings. I highly recommend taking a look at Broach if you have a student that doesn't quite "fit in" in a large public setting. Social Emotional Growth is so important to our children. Parent: We absolutely love St. John’s! My son will start Kindergarten this year after an amazing Pre K year. The teachers and staff are phenomenal. My son was challenged in a loving and safe environment- he is confidently reading and loving it. He learned so much, formed sweet friendships and had so much fun. There is a great community of families and we are provided with ample opportunities to be involved, in both large and small ways. Parent: Coming from a family of teachers and educators, I never truly understood the relationship between parents and teachers. And with the pandemic, this was our first year with a real school experience. We toured 7 different schools and made a thousand pro/cons list trying to decide where to send our kids. We asked so many people for opinions, even friends in different counties and states. We finally decided on STL. I knew almost immediately when we were partnered with a mentor family that this was the right choice for us. These teachers, parents and even administration were right there to help us or explain things to the non private/cradle catholic school parent.
