I got in on a scholarship that gave me access to the same amount of resources that other kids had. Their tuition is pretty high. Their resources are top notch and the school both emphasizes book and experience based learning. Unlike for some of the textbooks, the classes themselves are generally thorough. Their community is more close knit as a smaller school. The teachers, depending on who you get, are generally really good! The campus is really pretty and they have nice outdoor facilities. The clubs, at least in high school (or upper school), are many but what I didn’t like about it was that for me, I wasn’t really aware of the different clubs. We did have a directory of the clubs, so that might be on me. The studies are taxing and hard but it definitely prepares you for college level work. Most of the campus is accessible for those with disabilities. The diversity could honestly use some work. The parents are very, very, very involved. 4/5 stars!

I am a current 6th grader at Charles Wight Academy, and I love it. All of the teachers are super nice, the students are super welcoming, and the activities are awesome. I think that everyone is super nice, and the application process is super easy and fun. No complaints!
We have two children currently attending and I’d very much agree with other reviews written here. My children entered at grades 4 and 6 and had a hard time fitting in with kids who had been attending since 1st grade. Eventually, they settled in after a year or so. Academically my biggest concern in the exceptionally high teacher turn over in the last couple of years, coupled with the school’s reluctance to communicate to parents about this. I had hoped for more stability given the tuition rates. Overall, it far outpaces any public school I’ve seen and provides an excellent education not only in standard academics, but also raising up responsible, kind human beings who relish diversity in our community.
