Senior: What made my school positively stand out from others were the teachers and environment. Everyone in general was very kind, especially since respecting and uplifting others was part of the honor policy. The teachers at my school genuinely cared about the students. Not only did they care about the student's academic performance, but for their physical/mental health as well. Every teacher I interacted with would gladly take time out of their day to help me with school work outside of class, or simply ask me how my day was. Parent: This is a great little school. While they do lack in afterschool programs and sports, they do partner with a larger Christian school in the area that is nationally ranked in various sports. I love the fact that my student can participate in high level sports, yet be in a classroom with a 5:1 student to teacher ratio. Best of both worlds! I highly recommend this school.... Junior: The overall education Christ Chapel provides will prepare you! Although there is a lot of homework, you will succeed. The teachers are always willing to help and support their students. Senior: I like the academics-small class size and teachers are prepared for each class. Diversity of student and teachers is great and unique, which is very good, learn from different culture background, foods, religion, and dresses/customs. Parent: Two of my children started at ICHS this past fall, transferring from Fairfax County Public schools. We couldn't be happier! They do find the academics more challenging than public school. My eleventh grader noted that the teachers really have time not just to teach, but make sure that you understand the material. My ninth grader does not get "forgotten" as he did at the public school where we would not know there was a problem until his report card came two weeks after the quarter ended. It is reassuring that they are in a Christian, caring environment, that they are challenged to meet and exceed academic expectations, and that they come home excited to let us know what they are learning about. Parent: We love this gem of a school! Providence is focused on raising good citizens, while tying everything holistically back to Christ. We have been very impressed with the teachers, administration, and the new head of school. The school has also navigated the challenges of the pandemic beautifully and communicated transparently. The school has grown quite a bit since COVID, but seems committed to maintaining the small class sizes and tight-knit community feel that drew us here in the first place! Alum: I attended Highland Park Christian Academy from 2007-2017 and honestly this is the very best school anyone could put their child in. This school is worth the annual tuition they charge. HPCA has the best curriculum in my opinion and they prepared me for high school. I was an honor roll student year after year, etc. Highland Park Christian Academy helped mold me into the student I am today.
