Our family moved to CLS after our daughter had been in MCPS for five years. While our daughter was successful academically in public school and had many good relationships, she was academically very bored and we were concerned that her love of learning would “fizzle out”. We also wanted her to be in a positive christian environment, especially as she neared middle school age. We were very excited about the enrichment opportunities at CLS that our daughter had been missing out on.

We were not disappointed and do not regret the move to CLS. We love the school and our daughter is much more academically engaged. The classroom environment is positive and teachers are interested and invested in helping the kids to grow. Our daughter is learning, growing and is very happy. Thank you CLS! We already see our investment of paying for a CLS education paying off.

We have students in 8th, 6th, and 4th grades at CLS. CLS hit the ground running when schools closed in March. The dedication of the teachers, admin, and staff was clearly displayed as they pivoted in a single weekend from classroom to online educating. Our students didn’t miss a single day! Many teachers learned new skills and applications, and all had to adapt to a new teaching style. I’ve been amazed at their love for our kids and the level of excellence they’ve maintained throughout.
There are few Christian options in Montgomery County due in part to the outstanding school system here. We wanted both a Biblical and strong education so that when our son went to college, he would be able to defend his faith ready for an academically challenging environment. We wanted him nurtured, prayed over, encouraged to do his best, surrounded by Godly friends, and able to make strong relationships with people of faith. We found this at CLS. They are focused on securing the best teachers and a having a wide array of options despite being such a small school. Our son had many opportunities but beyond that he became grounded in his FAITH. The tuition is affordable and worth it. He has since graduated, is successfully in college, and received almost a full scholarship. He is at a secular university but the first thing he did was look for Christian groups and a church to be involved in. The passion of the teachers and administration is evident and the spirit of Christ is palpable.
