Senior: Cayuga is a public school that provides an excellent education for kids of all ages. I have been enrolled here since Pre-K and would chose to go here over any other school in this district. Junior: My experience over the past twelve years has been very diverse. Malakoff High School gives you the real, raw school experience. Some of the best things about this school district is the diligent teachers and administrators. The amount of time and effort the teachers put into kids is truly mind blowing. Of course there has been some bumps in the road, but the previous years here have made me who I am today. In my personal outlook, the only thing I would change is the food we are provided, due to health reasons and more. Freshman: I have grown up at this school, and have attended for the last 13 years. A lot of the teachers are past students that have come back and are now teachers and coaches. Its a really tight knit group of a community. We are small but work with what we have, regarding sports and education. The school trys its best to include everyones wants and needs, even if thats having a color guard with just one girl. Our teachers care about us and work with us to help us succeed in what ever it is that we are trying to achieve. Its not perfect by any means, but its all I have known... Read 6 reviews

Senior: I am originally from Dallas,TX. So coming from a big city and moving to a small country school was very nerve wrecking. Wondering how I would be treated by my peers,staff,coaches, riding the bus?Would kids accept myself and my little brother? Considering we may dress differently than people from the small country.people actually accepted us pretty fast. My dad always told us to just be ourselves. We did just that and it's like people gravitated toward us. People there are very friendly a d welcoming. My family and I love it here now we moved here after my freshman year of high school. I am now a senior here getting ready to graduate and I absolutely love it here..wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. Hopefully I can be considered for this scholarship.... Read 18 reviews

Senior: My experience with Kerens Independent School District was overall decent. They are located in your average small town, so they make due with what they are given and they do pretty well. They are low in some areas such as clubs and activities, but that is common where the school is too small for any big clubs. But, some of their sports teams are known to be good, they have some athletes that could really do well if they put in the effort. The people can be nice and most teachers are happy to teach....
