Parent: I went to my school from 5th grade to 12th grade. I really love my school I learned a lot from the staff that worked there. We were all a family. The only worst part that I experienced was when I graduated in 2020 during the pandemic my senior year was cut short, unfortunately. Parent: Our homeschool family was searching for an independent study program when we found the WAY MI program. All three of our children enrolled at WAY MI from various grades, through high school. Our youngest started in 6th grade and completed two grades in one year. They’ve all learned many useful skills in how to research, complete all of their projects at the highest grade possible, and have used those skills in learning other topics of interest. I appreciate they know how to site their sources, they’ve had opportunities to prepare for state testing online, and have had huge support from the technical team on up. The WAY MI team are willing to do their best for each child, and would answer our questions and help. Our kids never had a poor experience with any of their teachers. We always recommend WAY MI to our friends who are looking for an online option for school. We especially appreciate their dual enrollment program to further support our children's education.... Niche User: I remember attending this school in my earlier years of grade school. The school itself was beautiful and encompassed within a beautiful neighborhood. The playground is wonderful as well. The teachers are very strict and dedicated to teaching their students. The gym was massive. Plentiful extracurricular activities and school events. This school cares about their students and teacher are willing to dedicate time to tutoring them if they don't understand content within a class. Junior: Hope of Detroit academy is a school that kinda makes it feel like a big giant family. It's supportive, fun, exciting, and many teachers engage students to try to engage in college activities. It also has certain teachers that work with students in organizing events like homecoming, prom, senior graduation and fiel trips for their last year of high-school. However I would like if they would have more food options regarding in school lunches, but they have their own little store in which they sell snacks, ice cream and candy, all of which is pretty cheap. Junior: Always felt welcomed as a minority. Very diverse school, it felt like everyone was family. Teachers would teach in many different ways and try their best to assist every student. Any student is capable of achieving good grades at priest. The students respect the teachers and they respected them. Overall priest builds the people in the community better. They include kids with disability’s, immigrant kids AND parents in English language classes. These kids honestly become fluent in English within months. I’m very thankful I spent my whole pre-k to 8th grade at priest. Couldn’t imagine going any where else.
