Overall, great place to grow up. I lived on the county boarder, so I got the best of all worlds - Perinton electric, Victor Schools, rural surroundings, and minutes away from the mall and highways.
Great school system but the taxes are high. They have some nice parks and much to do in the village.
Living in the suburbs, I'm sheltered from much of the violence that occurs throughout the city. However, the daily news stories that depict murders and homicides reminds me of just how dangerous this city is to live in. I believe that police do the best they can to limit crime, but there are just too many individuals who take it upon themself to start trouble.
