Current Resident: Coral Gables is a beautiful neighborhood in the center of a Miami. The more endearing quality of Gables is its pedestrian nature, one of the few places in metropolitan Miami that you can describe as walkable. They have two boulevards: one in Giralda and the other in Miracle Mile, and there is a plethora of places to visit that have cultural relevance, such as the Coral Gables cinema that puts out international and indie films to the public. Current Resident: It was rough living there during COVID, but the experience has been mostly positive. Neighbors keep to themselves but are friendly. People are pretty educated, keep up their properties, and don't allow kids/animals to run wild. The weather is great. Local public and private schools are top-notch. Despite some car break-ins, physical safety is good--no worries walking at night and no dogs chasing people. Violent crime is pretty rare and mostly around US1 at the gas stations.... Current Resident: Great place to live in Miami. You feel like you are in a bubble that safely tucked in between Hollywood and South Beach. You are within walking distance from shops, restaurants, and the beach. For many people all around Bay Harbor, the beach is only a 10-minute walk. Get ready to have sunscreen and a hat because it is always sunny. If you don't feel like taking a walk to the beach you always have the canals that flow through Bay Harbor. Many people take their boats to rent boats nears buy and spend a day on the water. A great thing about Bay Harbor Islands you are able to see a lot of water anywhere you go walking or driving. A very peaceful neighborhood for a family or retirement. You are able to walk from your home to anywhere you need to go. Bay Harbor Islands gives you that sense of community that many families want. Current Resident: Amazing city with diversity and energy. Appreciation of properties exceeds most of the nation, so the housing market is expensive. Schools? City has two above average elementary schools, North Beach Elem (located actually in mid-beach) and South Pointe Elem. The high school has a Intl Baccalaureate program. South Beach is a tourist mess these days with high crime and dirty streets. Mid Beach is the sleepy suburban area. Current Resident: I have lived in Cooper City my entire life of 18 years. Cooper City is a great family city and has long been known as an excellent place to "grow families". This city has amazing schools and low crime rate. In fact, it is considered the safest community in the Fort Lauderdale metropolitan area. Cooper City is quiet and safe but is close enough to larger cities like Hollywood, Miami and Fort Lauderdale that offer great entertainment and nightlife. Cooper City is also the home of many City and County parks that offer a wide variety of activities such as horseback riding, kayaking, camping and more. The streets are clean, safe and well-lit for walking at any time. I realize that progress will not stop, and growth will always happen, but if I could change something about Cooper City it would be the rapid growth and building. Current Resident: Living in this area is a blessing in disguise. Although traffic can be somewhat unbearable during the afternoon, the experience is completely worth while. Surfside is a neighborhood straight out of a movie where you can encounter families walking their dogs, community gardens, and impeccable streets. The beach is only two blocks away and you also have three blocks filled with stores ranging from nail salons to kosher grocery markets to sushi restaurants. Current Resident: Bal Harbour has the lavish lifestyle and the beautiful mall named Bal Habour Shops. It is the most luxurious shopping mall in America and has several extremely high quality food and dozens of designer brands inside the mall. The hotel is very expensive and enjoyable for vacation. Current Resident: The neighborhood is quaint and very quiet, and there are a variety of houses that you can enjoy looking at while driving. However, there are many things to consider about this neighborhood. One is the presence of canals, in which on most roads there is no guardrail and they are especially difficult to see, especially at night, which leads into another problem: a lack of streetlights. There are absolutely no street lights or light poles whatsoever in this neighborhood, and all you can rely on for light are the headlights of your vehicle and the lighting from some properties. This makes it very inconvenient and uncomfortable to drive at night, and to do any type of activity such as biking or jogging, due to the lack of sidewalks as well. The neighborhood is a wealthy neighborhood that may come off as charming at first, but once you get to know the area, it is lacking significant features of a family-friendly neighborhood.... Current Resident: Overall, the whole town is beautiful. Besides all the charming and stuff is also very peaceful. You don't sense a lot of movement or issues around the town. It's really pretty here too, with a lot of land and nature, there's also a beautiful state park close by. Even better, there's a little shopping center in the entrance to the farms that has Publix, a couple small restaurants, among other things. Current Resident: Wellington is one of the best places i've ever lived in Florida. Living in Wellington offers residents a suburban for families and children and most residents own their homes. In Wellington there are a lot of parks and wildlife. Many families live in Wellington ,and residents tend to have conservative views. Wellington is a very small town.I like it because it's very quiet. Everyone in the area keeps to themselves and you don't hear about much crime or issues. There is a lot of wildlife if you're near a lake and there has been a record of gators in lakes, but that comes with the territory of living in south Florida. The diversity is average and i wouldn't expect much out of it. And for those interested Wellington is known for its equestrian community and events, like show jumping , dressage , and polo.
