I have lived here twice, and I loved it both times (left to live back home). It has a city feel with the benefits and security of the suburbs. I like going out and then returning to my residence and finding parking, ha ha. There's lots to do downtown, and you can find a lot of visitors there every weekend. Definitely recommend for singles, couples, or families!

I’ve lived in Walnut Creek almost my entire life and, at 65 years old, that is a lot of years. I’ve seen it grow from a town of 22,000 people to close to 70,000. There are still plenty of quaint country areas to live in and enjoy that Walnut Creek has always been known for as well as it’s renovated and amazing Broadway Plaza and downtown area with great shopping and restaurants. There are many parks and plenty of open space. The traffic can be overwhelming at times due to all the new condos that have been built and are going up mostly in the downtown area and around BART. The Walnut Creek schools are highly rated. My kids went to kindergarten through high school here. Each had a wonderful experience, made lifetime friendships and went on to college fully prepared. It’s a beautiful and safe city with a country feel. The housing prices have sky rocketed over the past several years and it’s easy to see why. I love Walnut Creek.
I have lived in Walnut Creek for almost seven years. I moved here from Arizona and I thought that I would not makie any friends and evryone will judge me because I was not born in California. The first day we moved into the house, our neighbors came over with desserts and introduced themselves. That day my sister met her best friend. I met my best friends at Northgate High School the one place I thought i would not fit in. Everyone in my community nows each other and I love being able to walk my dog and have people saying hi to me and the kids always coming to pet the dog. It is amazing!
