I love Alexandria because it is so close to the city of D.C. We can easily be in the city for many events and not pay the high price of living in the city. Living in Alexandria gives you the feel of suburban living with the convenience of a short commute. There is not a suggestion for change as I love living there! Alexandria has walking trails for families and dogs. It also boasts great schools and thriving community businesses. There is also a nightlife scene, many grocery stores to choose from, doctors, and lovely homes. The city of Alexandria contains all that is needed to live a happy and healthy life.
Alexandria is a pretty diverse city. There are a lot of things to do and food to eat around the area. So many good restaurants are located in the shopping plazas or about 20 minutes away from the heart of the city. Everything is pretty safe there too. Washington D.C. and Old Town are very close to Alexandria, so there are a lot of cute places and cool activities nearby. Despite all of that, the one perk about it is that after living here for over 10 years makes everything dull and boring. But other than that, it's nice!
Where the quaintness of a small town can be found outside your front door, while history, culture and hustling vibes of the big city are just down the street. Historic buildings combine with young hip singles and large or growing families to create an atmosphere of belonging and hometown nostalgia. Whether you’re visiting or unpacking here, you’ll be glad you came!
