The experience of being an online student at ARC could be described as fair, as you are in college bit not really there. I took the online classes while in high-school, and managing through the Los Rios Canvas was quite simple and easy to use. For the professors I didn't have any problems, they were fun and interesting. I liked how they treat the class very seriously and always responded quickly. However one thing I would like to see is that the online program should be more involved with the campus. This seems very counter intuitive but as an online student I know nothing about the school, the school should incorporate the online students more into their program.
Classes were pretty straightforward, getting in contact with your professors was fairly easy. Although sometimes the workload can be overwhelming but once you learn how to balance it out, everything online works out.
My counselor, Randy Nazareno, has been the most helpful in my educational career at American River College. With his assistance, I have had the ability to complete three Associate's degrees in the two years I spent at American River College.
I thoroughly enjoyed attending American River College Online because the Professors, Teaching Assistants, and College Counselors were highly responsive and helpful. Scheduling appointments was super easy, and there is a large variety of classes to choose from. A big plus was that it wasn't as impacted as Sierra College and it was way easier to get into classes. I think I was much more successful at American River College than I could have been anywhere else. It is affordable and the curriculum is strong and supportive of academic success and preparedness for transfer!
its very easy too operate the canvas and other parts of being a online student. and it also has a veriaty of classes to choose from
The college is one of the best in California , it has the best mode of online classes which help student attain their educational needs
