Western Supermarkets Reviews
I have been employed for three years. I started out as a cashier and asked if I was able to transfer to the floral department. One of the main issues was a lack of organization. For example, up to twenty-three orders of corsages were due within one hour and with a staff of six, and only two knew how to make them. There is a lack of training new employees. I had to learn mostly everything by watching or improvising. Communication is essential and is key to sustaining the framework of any business. No promotions or pay increases come with this job.
I started this job in high school and it was very easy to learn the job requirements. The managers were very flexible with the work schedule and will work around things such as school or other jobs. I’ve learned so much while working here whether it was learning about customer service or learning how to stock the products on the shelves. They also give you opportunities outside of work if you’re in school. They always tell you about different scholarship opportunities that you can apply to.
