Washington State Patrol Reviews
Rating 4 out of 5 3 reviews
This is a law enforcement agency that focuses on service to the public. Employees are supported and encouraged to grow and learn new aspects of the job. It's cliche, but it does feel like a large family.
Stressful job. Rewarding to work for your community and make a difference but a lot of politics and favoritism. Management cares more to fill positions than have quality employees. Very poor work culture. It's become acceptable for people to talk behind others' backs and to constantly write up employees for minor mistakes rather than provide any sort of praise or encouragement.
Taking a job here has been a good choice. I have learned more about a field that I previously learned about in college and had wanted to be a part of. I wish the pay was comparable to other agencies but as this is a state agency it makes sense as to why it isn't quite as high.
