Pay is good compared however if you're salaried you're not compensated for the true number of hours worked as most managers work 7days a week 8a-10/11p. Teammates are always will to lend a helping hand, and the group likes to play just as hard as they work. Benefits are decent, although there is no retirement/401k option available they offer "unlimited" PTO and most managers work remotely in their markets. Leadership needs more gender/racial/age diversity & opportunities for growth have decreased dramatically since going public and acquiring multiple firms. In the recent 12 months, management has not quick on communicating changes - which has caused a lot of rumors to start, creating a sense of anxiety among departments. Hopefully management can right the ship and create a diverse, supportive culture from the top down.
I am a delivery driver for Waitr in the Gulfport/Biloxi area of Mississippi. I absolutely love my job! I am allowed to make my own schedule, my coworkers are great. I work mostly on my own, but frequently run into other drivers if we are picking up from the same restaurant. We also have a group chat that we use to communicate with our shift managers, city managers, and coworkers. Everything is done through my phone and is fairly user friendly in my opinion. The customers are great, and I make a decent amount of money doing this.
in the beginning it was fantastic but as summer wore on it got harder and harder to get shifts when they over hired.
