I work in the Illinois location and so far...so good! I connect families to nurses so that their loved ones can be comfortable during their end of life times. The reason it's only 4 out of 5 starts is because I also do a bunch of other things: verify insurance, chart auditing, schedule and dispatch staff, follow referral processes and maintain relationships with hospitals, etc. We simply don't get paid enough.

I do like that there is a separate on call staff from the nurses that work Monday through Friday. What needs to change is the not informing potential hires that the position is salary. On call staff are not properly compensated for working 60 hrs plus having to do every job. On call staff are told they will only have to do admissions in emergencies or if family requests after hour meet times. This is not true. Also, wages do not take into account a nurses experience unless they have worked hospice, but it is prior nursing experience that helps in educating family, not so much the two weeks of hospice training.
Excellent place to work and grow in your career. Opportunity are available to climb up the ladder, helpful employees and offers a cultured environment. Full benefits as well as a 401 K and health insurance benefits available.
