Huge range of opportunities for those willing to work for it! Incredibly diverse, meaningful work. Learn new things, go new places, earn incredible educational benefits. Soon to retire, did both enlisted and officer. Would do it all over again.
The values instilled since day one include honor, courage and commitment. This impacts the way life is view and develops the understanding of a necessity to have high moral and ethically sound standards. Because of my job I am able to adapt in the utmost challenging times. Adaptation is one of the most important things I believe to breed success in future endeavors.
Changes in which I would like to see would be more motivation and encouragement at the individual level to innovate. I think the most ground-breaking products are fueled by the thoughts of individuals of abstract and critically thinking. This against the grain thinking that is weighed with pros to cons, is by far the main driver for successful workplaces.

Overall, I enjoyed my time! The camaraderie and travel opportunities are unlike any offered anywhere else. The GI Bill and other benefits offered are very unique. My only complaints are the occasionally poor leadership, and rough working hours, but its nothing that wouldn't be expected.
