US Marine Corps Reviews
Rating 4.09 out of 5 149 reviews
I have spent 16 years in the Marine Corps and have enjoyed every minute of it. It has helped shaped me into the man I am today. It gave me a lot of opportunities to travel and see the world. One thing that I would change about the Marine Corps is putting more of an effort into educating Marines on proper fitness, diet, and education. As I am getting out of the Marine Corps, I am attending separation classes that help to prepare me to transition from the military to civilian life. Some of the classes spoke of educational benefits that I did not know about during my time that I could have completed that could have made me more marketable. Another thing was proper fitness and how to get into shape. I saw a lot of Marines that tried to get into better shape whether it be from working out, crossfit, cardio etc. Most of these Marines got injured or did not meet their goals because they did not know how to do any of the activities listed above correctly.
Huge range of opportunities for those willing to work for it! Incredibly diverse, meaningful work. Learn new things, go new places, earn incredible educational benefits. Soon to retire, did both enlisted and officer. Would do it all over again.
Overall, the U.S. Marine Corps helped me find a sense of direction and drive in life. Some things in the Marine Corps might not run smoothly but dealing with those hiccups with your fellow Marines make it worth it. Those fellow Marines become your family and for that I will never regret my time with the Marine Corps.
