US Air Force Reviews
Rating 4.29 out of 5 321 reviews
The Good - Camaraderie, performing the mission, steady work, decent pay, excellent benefits.
The Bad - The Air Force has been taken over by ineffective, discriminatory policies leading to low recruitment rates and ostracizing those who just want to serve the country. Men are discriminated because of their gender and no one bats an eye, in fact it's celebrated. Thousands of careers are ruined due to blatantly false allegations which turns into situations of, "Guilty until proven innocent." But with an almost criminally slow justice system, even if the accused is completely acquitted, the damage to one's career is already done. And those who make these blatantly false allegations, costing the government millions and stigmatizing actual victims who need to come forward? Nothing ever happens to them.

Being an aircraft maintainer in the Air Force fills me with pride and purpose. I am entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring aircraft are in optimal condition through my expertise in troubleshooting and repair. Working as part of a cohesive team, we collaborate to maintain readiness and complete missions. Witnessing tangible results and contributing to national defense brings immense satisfaction. Continuous learning and growth are integral to this field, supported by the Air Force's commitment to education and innovation. In this dynamic role, I find fulfillment in upholding the highest standards and safeguarding our nation's aerial operations.
I have been served as an Active Duty member in the US Air Force for the last 5.5 years and can say that it is the best decision I have ever made in my life--right next to deciding to continue my education to earn a degree. In the Air Force I have had a lot of wonderful experiences! In regard to my primary job itself, my best experience has been attributed to working alongside dental providers that are willing to teach and educate the rest of the staff. I have learned a great deal thus far which will serve me well in my higher education. I would strongly recommend the US Air Force to others interested.
