I work for a smaller branch company that follows UHS guidelines. There are a lot of policies that neither I or my coworkers agree with, and some of the policies appear somewhat sketchy. They're somewhat odd and I've never heard of another company that holds these rules and allocates funding in a poor way. It's one of those companies that you can tell management has very little insight into what the bottom of the totem pole looks like, and they don't seem to care too much. I unfortunately can only think of more negative characteristics than positive ones of the company. My direct manager is great and does everything she can to ensure we are taken care of, but there is only so much she can do. There are other departments that are drowning and receive no help due to policy guidelines.
My coworkers and some of the administrative staff were amazing and helpful, the lack of employee support was definitely a flaw within the system. Also, lack of willingness to listen to staff that worked closely with the residents was a major issue. Simply because the residents needed certain care that was not implemented in their care plans because they weren't with the residents as much as the staff was.
This company has helped me grow in my career and gain knowledge on new things that have helped for school and for life choices. This company truly is the best.
