T.J. Maxx Reviews
Rating 4.05 out of 5 137 reviews
TJ Maxx is absolutely one of the best companies I have ever worked for. They care about their employees and their goals. TJ Maxx not only is a workplace, but it is a family as well. Everyone there has given me nothing but kindness and respect and I couldn't ask for a better job. They are understanding with students and their availability, especially since I am a full-time high school student. Everyone here is absolutely fantastic!
Enjoyed working here in the beginning, but started to feel unappreciated. I would go out of my way to impress management and help coworkers, but was never recognized for any of it. Was never chosen as "employee of the month" and given a gift card. Basically, the same people won every month. I also felt disrespected and ignored by management. I told them during the interview I didn't want to work the registers and they put me there anyway, then had the nerve to wonder why I did a poor job up there. I also remember the ladies room was always very smelly for some odd reason. There's really no benefits if you're part time. Only good thing is that managers buy snacks for the break room and will occasionally order us lunch. It's a typical retail company, no better or worse than the rest.
My coworkers are awesome! Positive workplace environment about 90% of the time. Definitely a lot of pressure is put on pushing credit cards to people. It can also be very stressful during rush hours.
