The Arc Oneida-Lewis Chapter Reviews
I actually haven't worked here long enough to want to make changes to anything. My schedule is flexible which helps me tremendously. The company is very lenient when it comes to my busy schedule. It is easy to take time off. The benefits are wonderful. The people I work with are extremely supportive, and work together as a team to help others. The management here is fabulous. I never feel nervous, or anxious when having to talk with my boss. What I like the most is I get to travel to two different locations, both of which are 45 minutes from my house. Within these two locations are very different environments. It is a great idea to experience change when working in the line of work I do.
Great environment, meaningful work, mediocre pay. The Arc is constantly looking for ways to enhance the lives of people with developmental disabilities. There are many activities such as Fine Arc, Stageworks, and Special Olympics sports for the people we support to participate in. There are parties for every occasion such as Christmas and Halloween. The satisfaction felt by the work done here makes the lower wages worth it. Direct support is a great field to be in because it makes a difference in the lives of so many people.
Coworkers develop a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Managers are extremely helpful and approachable. Increased pay would make the position more worthwhile, as a non-profit, unfortunately the pay is low.
