There is an issue if staffing that was made harder by the pandemic and in certain aspects the way management has changed has lots some valuable workers. Experienced Employee: I am a full time undergraduate student looking to gain experience in the lab before I graduate with my degree in Chemistry, and I have been with Lehigh Valley Hosptial's sister network, Health Network Labs for about a year. My experience here so far has been great! I have gained a tremendous amount of knowledge by working side by side with grossing technicians, pathologists assistants, and other lab/ technical assistants, and doing the hands on work! I am so happy that I got the opportunity to work for this company and to build my background. This is a company that I see myself staying with until I graduate and either pursue grad school, or get into a more in depth field. I would not change much about this company; they are responsive to their employees, their patients, and work hard to make sure that everyone is kept satisfied, but that the work gets done, and patient care is put first.... Entry Level Employee: I used to work on a Trauma/Ortho unit, at the Bethlehem campus, I was employed on this unit for a little over a year, it was a great experience, especially for being in the healthcare field for the first time, along with the decision of wanting to become a nurse. My unit was very fast paced, there was always different situations you were dealing with. I have now recently switched departments at the Bethlehem campus, I had went from my trauma/ortho floor, to the Pediatrics department. I absolutely love my job on the pediatrics unit, I have a passion for children and babies. Ever since I was a little girl, I always knew I wanted to be somewhere in the health care field, especially to partake with children and babies. Now I will hopefully be starting nursing school soon, and I hope to either be a Pediatric nurse, NICU nurse, or Labor and Delivery nurse. Intern / Student Worker: Great and local pharmacy to get everyday medicines and prescriptions from. I have been going to Rite Aid pharmacies ever since I first needed my prescriptions filled and have never needed to go elsewhere. The workers have always been kind and so helpful in fulfilling my prescription and everyday medicine needs. Even when it comes to buying products over the counter. They have always been great and helpful. I wouldn't want to get my prescriptions filled anywhere else unless I had to but Rite Aid is definitely my first choice and go to Pharmacy. You can't go wrong getting your prescriptions filled here at this pharmacy. They have a nice text message set up to inform customers whenever their prescriptions have been filled and are ready for pick up. There are many Rite Aid locations in my local town to be able to easily transfer any current prescriptions to in case one location is closer than another.... Read 121 reviews

Manager / Director: Working here has been wonderful for professional growth. If you work hard and continue to educate yourself, it's somewhat easy to find promotional opportunities. Time off and work/life balance becomes easier the longer you are employed there. Without seniority, it can be difficult to get time off. I might also add, it's easiest to have flexibility when in a management position. The pay for my position is terrible and leads many individuals in my department to leave once they attain certification and are more marketable. This makes me feel like it takes on the role of training facility at times. It would be nice if HR would do market adjustments more frequently. Intern / Student Worker: I liked how everyone worked together, I enjoyed being there and learning from others. Everyone was willing to help each other and make sure the work was done. The doctors were really friendly to interact with. As a student, if I didn't do something right they would correct me and tell me how to do it the right way. The shifts were usually from around 7-3 every day with a 30 mins lunch break, so it was very fair. The hospital was a little but with help from the signs you could figure it out. Overall I worked in helping patients and proving patient care. A friend of mine also works at AGH and she states that she doesn't enjoy it as much as I do. She works 5-1 shifts. She thinks her management could improve and she could work better with her co-workers. She feels as though it is not a good work environment and needs improvement. I'm fortunate to work with some of the best medical professionals in my area. Most providers are easy to work for and willing to teach. My co-workers are all stars! I've never worked at a place which such comradery! If for some reason you feel the desire to transfer or to move around within the company, there are many different hospitals under the same health system so a transfer is possible. Maybe you want to work in the suburbs to avoid the hustle and bustle of the city... there's a location for that. Maybe you want to move out of Philadelphia and over to New Jersey for warm breezes and beach views... there's a location for that too! They have great benefits as well, like health, dental and life insurance. They also offer a nice retirement package, with matching up to 2.5%. Entry Level Employee: I have had a great experience at Wellspan. I think anybody hoping to further their career in a cost efficient and effective way, Wellspan Health would be a solid choice. It is a teaching Hospital that grants you the opportunity to learn while your working which I've found to be a huge advantage. There are numerous people that have graduated ahead of me who currently still work at this institution. This is a good sign when I start to think about where I would like to work after graduation. The people that you surround yourself with will definitely factor into how much you would enjoy your job. Another good advantage is the tuition assistance. Although I wasn't told about this resource I highly recommend any student to read the Handbook specific to the college of interest. The other thing I would recommend would be to dissect every area of the College's Website.
