Experienced Employee: NYP is overall a great company. I cannot speak for all departments, however, the Internal Audit Department is an excellent place to work. Everyone is friendly and respectful, a key part of the culture. Pay is above average for this field and managers allow staff to work remotely, which was especially helpful during the pandemic. I would definitely recommend working here. Managers are understanding and allow you to be flexible with your work schedule when necessary. Niche User: My experience working for the NYC Department of Education has been very good. I worked in special education and although the students' progress is much slower, it is very rewarding when you see a student achieve their goals. One of the great things about working in the DOE is the hours and the vacation time. In addition, the Department of Education offers great insurance and retirement plans to their employees. Intern / Student Worker: I did a winter audit internship at PwC in Birmingham. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience. I worked on average 45-50 hours/week during my time there. The schedule was really flexible. I worked in the office most Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and virtually on Mondays and Fridays. The firm gave me a great laptop, mouse, and portable monitor. The software we used on the job was great, very user-friendly, and produced great results. I thought some of the training was unnecessary. I loved my teams. I worked on two clients over the 3 months I was employed. It was sometimes hard because I was not always sure what my bosses' expectations were for me. During that time there have been tremendous improvements cosmetically, medically, and technologically, all over the hospital. There's an outstanding children's hospital that is well thought out. The vast majority of the staff are caring and professional. The food in the cafeteria is actually good and there is an unusual assortment of choices. Considering there are several fast food franchises, pizzerias, and restaurants in the area it is an option rather than the only choice. The one thing that hasn't changed or improved in all that time, is the ER! It's always over crowded, although there are several doctors, nurses, support staff it seems like there's never enough hospital staff to handle the rush of patients to triage.cellent service. and great doctors and nurse.... Experienced Employee: I worked at Coach for 2 years. I was at the Pleasant Prairie Outlets for a year before transferring to Old Orchard Shopping Center for the Lead Supervisor position. It was a great job with great people. I pictured working at a luxury store to have a very cutthroat environment but most of my memories from there are positive! I enjoyed having to stay on my feet for 6-8 hours a shift and having multiple tasks to do throughout the day. Tasks included; processing shipments, giving guests the proper selling experience, motivating sales associates when they weren't performing, and monogramming tags for purses. Although there was a lot of hands on tasks that I enjoyed, I do believe there are certain aspects that they should take into consideration. More scholarship opportunity would have motivated me to stay but the scholarships they offer are for full-time workers only.
