You have education, health, dental, optical, car insurance, life insurance, 401k, contribution matching, PTO, the only draw back is the fact that there is no maternity leave. They make women take short term disability instead. You do get free use of the pulse bus line. There are so many benefits its hard to list them all. One thing that I would change about the Marine Corps is putting more of an effort into educating Marines on proper fitness, diet, and education. As I am getting out of the Marine Corps, I am attending separation classes that help to prepare me to transition from the military to civilian life. Some of the classes spoke of educational benefits that I did not know about during my time that I could have completed that could have made me more marketable. Another thing was proper fitness and how to get into shape. I saw a lot of Marines that tried to get into better shape whether it be from working out, crossfit, cardio etc. Most of these Marines got injured or did not meet their goals because they did not know how to do any of the activities listed above correctly.... You also get the benefit of moving across the country or staying local to a town or state that works best for your family. There are long hours, deployments with very limited connectivity to family and loved ones and you're limited in your financial growth due to the rank structure. Manager / Director: I like the fact that working here has not overwhelmed me due to having a disability and being a mother. I am able to work the hours and make a decent paycheck. The job is easy and there is always more positions to apply for to make more money. I have obtained alot of experience work as a cashier than an Assistant Manager. I get to meet wondering that I may work with. Some of the customers may even be wonderful. If you are a college student and need a job with hours like 4 or 5 out the day with the choice of working more, than Dollar Tree is definitely worth looking into. If I could change a few things it would be more pay for the cashiers and using more help with truck days. Some stores just need more employees for stock and have training working on resigters. Overall Dollar Tree had been one of my biggest success since I first started working for them at another location in 2010. I have worked in several locations over a period of time. They have impeccable health packages and retirement benefits that were offered, one of which was the tuition assistance which I personally took part of. With benefits aside, this clinic in particular, was extremely fast paced meaning if you didn't pace yourself you'd definitely be burnt out for sure. Intern / Student Worker: I love it here! I’m in a waged position so a lot of my answers reflect that position but paid positions get health care benefits and nigh shift even gets to park in the garage during work. I enjoy the floor I’m on and though at times we are short we’ve grown to have a great dynamic. I enjoy the patient population as well and have learned so much!
