Some of the classes spoke of educational benefits that I did not know about during my time that I could have completed that could have made me more marketable. Another thing was proper fitness and how to get into shape. I saw a lot of Marines that tried to get into better shape whether it be from working out, crossfit, cardio etc. Most of these Marines got injured or did not meet their goals because they did not know how to do any of the activities listed above correctly.... You also get the benefit of moving across the country or staying local to a town or state that works best for your family. The Navy offers special help to serve members who have children who are special needs and require more hands on assistance. The Navy has lots of benefits but also has some down sides too. There are long hours, deployments with very limited connectivity to family and loved ones and you're limited in your financial growth due to the rank structure.
