Experienced Employee: I like the working climate. The people whom I work with come from all walks of life, and they bring with them knowledge of their own. Combining different people into a military style of medical work brings so many different styles of caring for others and being able to learn from each other and adapt to the way the hospital has directed. I have had prior knowledge of how the Military hospitals work as a soldier, however working in this system as a civilian has broaden my knowledge more. Experienced Employee: I enjoy working at the hospital. I have excellent management and they are very supportive. I work with great co-workers that are caring, helpful, and value my input. Experienced Employee: I have been a proud employee for almost 3 years, in that time I have aided my provider in continuous care with our patients. I have had the opportunity to seek additional training not only in the clinic but also in the surgical setting while being his medical assistant. It has been a great opportunity to see our patients progress and a wonderful feeling to be a part of them feeling better and getting back to themselves. There aren't enough words to express how grateful I am to be a part of such a great team and working with all the staff that I have come across! I would want to see more employees seeking further education to be able to appreciate all aspects of the hospital, this was an eye opener as I see everyone work together in order to provide excellent care to our patients. Experienced Employee: I have worked here for a little over three years and I have loved it! I have been able to complete my bachelor's degree while working here and I am currently pursuing my master's degree. They have worked with my school course schedule as well as any extracurricular activities I've had over the years such as events for the women's fraternity I was in, Zeta Tau Alpha, and for other events such as workshops and trips for my journalism classes. Sometimes there will be little arguments at work regarding paperwork and deadlines but they are usually resolved the same day the occur or with 24 to 48 hours. The environment is friendly and welcoming; I have never felt unsafe here. I have been treated as an equal rather than the part-time worker that I am and I believe that is the main reason why I have continued to work here besides the flexible hours. Experienced Employee: Working home health means helping people directly in your community. These people might need services to get better or services to just be as comfortable as possible. I'm not a nurse but I've worked in HR, and a lot of the times helping people get services that they need is an uphill battle. If you asked me what home health gives that a hospital possibly can't is the human connection between a caretaker and a patient.
