Experienced Employee: Overall, working within this healthcare system has been an immensely positive experience. I have seen friendship, loyalty, teamwork, and supportiveness since beginning my career at the University of Michigan. Positive aspects include great wages, a positive, uplifting work environment, and plenty of work opportunities. I would like to see changes in administration that show more care and concern for staff of all types. Experienced Employee: My experience has been really good! I am a delivery driver here and you get paid really well. I like interacting with all the people I deliver to. It makes my day when I see I've made someone smile. The pay is random because we make most of our money on tips, but depending on the location, you could get tipped very well. The only thing I would change is who works at Domino's in the manager position. Half of the people that are managers where I work are rude and order people around instead of approaching them with kindness. Experienced Employee: I love it here! I plan to be here for as long as possible and I do genuinely enjoy my work here. Its a wonderful team here supporting me in my department and and the company provides quite a bit of wonderful benefits for working full time. With this being said, Michigan Medicine also makes an effort to aid those who aren't full time as well, by offering rewards and aid. I work in research so sometime researchers can be waved away or neglected, at least in my previous workplaces, but here it is completely different. Highly efficient work place as well.... Entry Level Employee: Busch's Fresh Food Market was my first ever real job and it is a great place to start. They treat all of their employees very well and are very flexible with schedules. During my time working there they worked around my schooling really easily and gave me the hours that I wanted. They also worked around my football schedule during school and the summer. They take anything into consideration when making a schedule so you can work and do what you want. I also had a medical emergency this past year and they did a great job working with me. They gave me the time off that I needed and followed my limitations and didn't over work me. During the holidays they always give you a bonus or a gift bag. Manager / Director: I have never been in a place of employment that pushes me the way CDC does. I was at a low point in my life; continuously ridiculed and disgraced with comments from those who are suppose to be my biggest supporters (ex. family) about my job, and that working and running a daycare and preschool was what I wanted to do. Yes, I know that we don't make the big bucks, but I found a place where they saw something in me and gave me the shot to exceed, and from that I found a home. I found a purpose to get my life back on track and finish school. The families and the staff really make this place blossom, and with that we live through our mission and even our name to create a place of inclusion and community. I could go on and on, and I wish more people could experience the positivity, the warmth, the strength, and the urge to do better that CDC strives and gives, and all they've done for me....
