Experienced Employee: Canon is known for its technology, Cameras! However, this company offers a lot more than just cameras. Canon has many other divisions printers/copies, medical and etc. Canon is great to its employees. It offers growth and beneficial benefits. For example, tuition reimbursement, medical coverage, life insurance and 401K retirement plans. Entry Level Employee: It is such a great opportunity to be a part of an organization that is working together to better out community. Stony Brook medicine is extremely diverse and it is one of the greatest medical groups in New York. Everyone is very friendly and relatively easy to work with. There is fantastic sense of teamwork and we all seem to have the mutual understanding that we are working towards the same goals. Stony Brook Medicine has done a fantastic job with fighting against the Corona Virus. We have made several accommodations and have been following all health guidelines to make sure that not only our patients feel safe and protected but their employees as well. If I had to choose one thing that I would like to see change here it would be better communication from management to their employees. Experienced Employee: When I started at this company, I was completing my degree in photography so I was still very green in the field. Today, I am the company photographer as well as one of the top graphic designers. I have learned so much here considering I was just starting out when I was hired four years ago. Work life is what you make of it. I spend many moments throughout the day socializing with my co-workers and making the most out of my day. Salaries tend to run low which is unfortunate, but with the right approach the managers will begin to discuss higher salaries. Experienced Employee: Bleary eyed, I stumbled into Photonics Industries International after graduating from trade school with a technical degree in computer maintenance. Like most of my training group, I was not prepared for building lasers. A gleaming clean room provided the backdrop for the development of our technical skills and personal growth. The task was daunting and I soon fell behind my peers, my self confidence and bravado having left me. Meetings with supervisors became an all too common event and there was talk of transfer to less demanding departments within the company.
