Pebble Beach Resorts
Experienced Employee: I work at The Bench at The Lodge at Pebble Beach as a server and as someone who has waited tables for the better part of two decades, I can tell you that working at Pebble Beach has some definite perks.
Pros:
-Employee dining room that always has a fully stocked salad bar in addition to a rotating selection of hot food served multiple times a day
-Free dry cleaning service for employees
-Free golf at any of their five courses, including the famed Pebble Beach
-30% discount at any Pebble Beach store or restaurant
-Friends and family rates during the slow season
-Free turkey on Thanksgiving and various company wide social events
The cons mostly apply to The Bench specifically and not necessarily the company as a whole.
Cons:
-No support staff (no bussers, runners, or barbacks)
-Unsupportive and negative "cliquey" culture, rife with bullying "alpha" males
-Clientele skews entitled and rude
-The seniority structure denies managers the power to schedule based on merit... Read 3 reviews
