Strong Memorial Hospital
Experienced Employee: I have spent over 20 years in my profession at Strong Memorial Hospital. Because of the associated medical school, I have had to opportunity to share my experience and knowledge with medical students, residents, and fellows as they have spent time rotating through the department. There is always a wide variety of patients with different pathologies, so there is no such thing as a 'typical' day. For future planning, after vesting two years of time, the hospital will put money into a retirement 403b plan, regardless of personal contribution to one's own retirement account. There are a couple of health insurance plans to choose from, with optional dental and vision riders. The one big downside is we pay for parking. The closer one parks to the hospital, the more it costs to be there.
