Experienced Employee: Lane County is an amazing organization to work for. The compensation and benefits are outstanding, however the workloads are immense due to skeleton crews and modest budget restraints for staffing, which is common in public service organizations. The culture of the city is less than desirable which makes the work life balance increasingly more difficult. If the County were able to hire more employees for equitable workload distribution in needed departments, I believe the work conditions would be better.
