My experience at ScribeAmerica has depended greatly on the people that I've met here, all of whom have been incredibly informative and supportive - exactly what I was looking for in a job before my 1 year master program and then medical school! Making friends and working with my doctors has helped me dramatically in understanding the workflow and thought process behind a physician, specifically those working in emergency settings. The somber thrill of following my physician doing acute stroke symptom assessments while the patient is being rushed into CT is an unmatched experience and has again confirmed my desire to go into medicine. Thank you to everyone at ScribeAmerica for letting me see so much and for organizing such a strong program for supporting doctors and pre-med students.
My experience working with the ScribeAmerica family was overall very good! I enjoyed the work community and environment. While we were a vendor-based team, I felt comfortable with most all of my coworkers with any questions or concerns. The opportunities for growth are good, though the not-so-silent best part about this job is the relationships and network communities built during the time here.
I like the idea of having that first-hand experience of a physician meeting with their patients and actually grasping what it is like once you are in their shoes. I also enjoyed the challenge of the medical school "crash course." However, if able to, I would change the workload that the Chief Scribes have. I felt that many Chief Scribes are not able to help out as much and manage the scribes because they are constantly busy. Other than that, everything is great so far!
