My experience working with this company has been a roller coaster ride. I provided daily customer service to the gym members, answered questions about their memberships and billing, handled and resolved many concerns and problems of the company's guest and co workers. If management held a stronger desire for professionalism in the workplace things would run smoother. As a Member Service Representative I found myself picking up additional work duties due to the laziness of my co-workers and inexperienced management.

Thank Goodness minimum wage has increased! It sort of makes up for the daily craziness we have to deal with! If the company took time to acknowledge and reward the few employees who does go above and beyond and delivers great customer service, than many will feel appreciated and there will not be such a high employee turnover.

Planet fitness is one of the greatest jobs I have had. Because the gym is focused on the motto of "the judgement free zone" the workers and the majority of the members are very friendly and easy to get along with! The pay is good and the job is not difficult. The majority of time spent is just scanning members tags when they come in, answering phone calls about the club, giving tours, and keeping your assigned section cleaned and vacuumed. I would definitely recommend this job to anybody, but specifically people interested in some type of fitness, sport, or exercise related major.
My managers! The leadership makes the team and my managers killed it on most fronts. They weren't perfect, but the respected and acknowledged hard work and improvement. They also were more than willing to listen to complaints or recommendations.

I got paid a decent amount for working at the front desk with some cleaning responsibilities. I never felt like I was paid too little. Though I didn't pursue growth opportunities in my time there I'm not sure how easy it is, but I know my superiors have moved from assistant manager to GM in just 2 years.
