Pretty good wages. A great way to make extra cash. Positive work environment and everyone is pretty friendly. Great job for young people and students.
I love working here! The one in Superior, CO really works with my schedule and promoted me to cocktail fairly quickly.
I enjoy the professional and positive atmosphere and the only thing that can be done to make this restaurant a better place to visit, is to guarantee that our guests return to see us by delivering great service and a unique experience each and every time.
The company itself has been the most laid back and fun restaurant to work for. They are very prompt in all of their things, including setting the mark straight if there is an error, all the way down to fixing a broken printer within an hour. The atmosphere is enticing and the food is even better. I am partial to the alcohol only because it is so good and there are choices for just about any type of person. I am extremely grateful they allowed me to come back and be a part of the crazy that is Old Chicago Pizza and Taproom.
Very poor management. Staff morale is very low due to the stress suffered by ill prepared cooks, servers, and mangers alike.
Flexible scheduling, good people and some great clientele. The major downsides are the same that you will find in any food industry job: staffing issues, coupons, slow seasons, etc.
I like the concept of Old Chicago restaurants. Having an extensive menu of craft beers in one location is fantastic. The world beer tours and mini beer tours are fun, and I like that the location I am at decorates for each mini tour and launches it with a kickoff party. However, I hate the lack of teamwork, laziness, and lack of accountability of employees at work. I also hate when the managers micromanage or are rude.
Some days were better then others but the staff was amazing to work with and managers really helped out when needed.
I love the atmosphere of this restaurant. Everybody is very kind and giving. They all work as a team and help each other out as much as possible. Management is great as well and very understandable when it comes to having time off and are very flexible in giving time off if needed.
This is my first serving job. Management is friendly and helpful and the rest of the staff is willing to pitch in when needed. Training consists of shadowing and sampling food as well as watching educational videos. I am satisfied with this position and company.
I like how this employer is flexible with our schedule. I would like to see the pay improve. I also like the benefits this employer provides. I enjoy working with the people at this employer there are a friendly group of workers. I would change all the training and various tests this employer has the workers do every so often. I like how this employer switches up the menu often and adds new food for the different mini-tours. Many of the regular customers are able to try new things. The restaurant is also very clean and the management does a good job of ensuring that the restaurant stays clean.
Although the food and beer selection is extensive and inclusive; certain facets of their management need to be addressed before I would give this place a 5-star rating. Disregarding certain positions held in the company and favoritism does happen in many situations, but when it affects the guest and the employee's comfort in the workplace something has to be said. Now it is not every manager just one that I have personally seen abuse her employee. Overall the staff is very friendly and helpful and a great place to work. However, if I did not absolutely need a job I would not be working here under these curcumstances.
