Northwestern Memorial Hospital Reviews
The experience I had at Northwestern Medicine was great. I went there for a doctors appointment for my vocal cords, and the doctor I met with is awesome. He explained the process of what he is going to do when he does my surgery. Answered my questions and concerns of what I had, and also made sure I understood of all what was happening. I enjoyed going and would recommend Northwestern Medicine to other people.
I began working here in 2012. I started as a transporter/ patient escort. I worked very hard and within the first year I had a job opportunity in the emergency department. I've learned so much since it is a teaching hospital. The pay is competitive and the benefits are solid. I would recommend everyone to work here. It has a great atmosphere throughout the entire hospital. Most recently, they added various restaurants which makes eating no hassle. I've had the pleasure to help many people and go home knowing that I made the difference in someone's life.
Management isn't all that great because they don't have clinical experience. Overall the health coverage is good but very expensive. The retirement plan is excellent especially because they match you to the dollar. Sadly here I have worked with many lazy employees at every department I have worked in and management doesn't do anything about it.
