I really enjoyed being the only plus size employee at the Santa Ana store because when I was a customer, I wish their was someone with a same body shape as mine that would help me find clothes. Having worked in retail taught me the value of accepting my body and accept that there will be clothes that fit and don't fit. I was glad that I was able to help other women who had the same situation I did coming into this store. I helped women face their biggest fears in fashion but accept that we are all beautiful in every size.
The work is great, and they work very well with your schedule. They have a lot of opportunities for students who are looking for a part-time job. The management can definitely improve. The managers can be somewhat unprofessional with the way they handle the staff.
While the atmosphere was upbeat and fun, it was slightly difficult to keep up with the expectations set forth due to lack of training. I appreciate how much they value the customer, but I felt that we could not provide the best service possible due to lacking training in a variety of areas.
