I have worked for Nekter Juice Bar for a little over two years. In this time period, I have seen management change four times. While all of the managers I have worked with have been kind people, I wish my company had higher standards for hiring managers as two of the four managers were fired/quit for unacceptable reasons. It also feels as if we have limited support from corporate. For example, in the two years that I have worked, I have received two uniform shirts that have since been worn to rags. I have been denied a new shirt twice. Some positives include access to a healthy meal as we are allowed one free item per shift. The work environment is positive and the my coworkers are great people. Overall, Nekter is a good place to work. I only wish there were higher standards and expectations of employees, management, and upper-management.
I love the staff! Every day I come in excited to come into work and socialize with my coworkers, along with the amazing atmosphere that nekter provides for its customers. The customers that come in are very friendly and considerable of the workers. It is a perfect environment for my situation of both school and work!
I worked at the Austin location, and the management was not good. The location I worked at was always slow (perhaps its because of the high prices). The managers claimed that corporate was always watching us through the cameras and if you weren't constantly moving or cleaning a counter for the 8th time, they yelled at you asking what you were doing even though there would be no customers for long periods of time and nothing else to prep/clean. Also, there were a couple managers who would flirt with the male employees.
