When I first started at Maxim, I was excited to work for a healthcare company for the first time. Although I did not have any experience in the field, I felt as well as they did that I could contribute a lot to the role as a Para Educator. Within the first few weeks however, I began to notice a pattern of miscommunication and a lack of attention to the employees. The job of caregivers is not an easy one and it is quite de-moralizing to have to be running around as an employee to get a hold of information and get a response from the right person. When I first started , I was not properly informed as to what I should expect from my student. I do not resent this because it has been a hassle free run with my student, most of the hassle I have had is with the company itself. I feel many times frustrated with my supervisors and this has become an issue I can no longer ignore despite my desire to continue my work for them.

I truly enjoy my work what I do and how do it. The pay is salary plus commission. The commission is not capped so the longer and harder you work the more money one can make benefits are decent. Blue Cross Blue Shield for Medical, MetLife for Dental and VSP for vision. The hardest part are the travelers. Those that we recruit for contract positions. The facilities we staff for to assure we have them staffed fully by their deadline.
Communication between office staff and nurses is poor. Call-offs are not always relayed, so nurses report directly to clients to avoid the disruption of unannounced absences.
Only nurses who aggressively insist on pay raises get them.
