Personally I believe that the management team should have management classes to polish individuals that are interested in being managers in order to maintain consistency throughout all the departments. A lot of managers lack professionalism and communication skills. Policies are interpreted differently across all departments. There is no empathy from management when employees experience hardships or losses. As healthcare workers many of us especially me love and enjoy delivering care to our community because we are genuine however, the same cannot be said about the management team. While it is understandable that rules have to be in place ensuring that everyone is on the same page is the best way to start.

I love my job and the people I work with. It is a supportive environment that offers teaching opportunities and encourages employees to further their education. The managers are supportive and offer opportunities to advance your practice. They are transparent and professional. Nurses support one another personally and professionally. There is a positive team atmosphere in which patients, their families, social workers, nurses and physicians work together to develop individualized plans of care. Overall it is a fantastic place to work with fantastic colleagues and support systems. There is employee parking both on and off campus, the parking on campus is a short walk from the hospital.
I enjoy working with a knowledgeable team. I’ve learned so much about behavior and children throughout my career here. I appreciate the flexibility and positive validation I receive here.
