Lea Regional Medical Center Reviews
Rating 4 out of 5 2 reviews
The experience at Lea Regional has been sub par. I worked as a scrub tech two years ago and loved working with the doctors, however the hospital doesn't keep staff which puts a lot on current staff. I also found that my boss at the time had no concern about my health issues when I asked for leave per my doctor's orders. I had to quit because my doctor's wishes weren't being taken seriously. Two years later, I am working in front admitting and the job itself is satisfying, but this hospital still lacks the adequate help they need. With cuts the hospital makes, staff is pushed to work double without the extra pay deserved. As PRN, I don't get benefits but I still work over 30 hours a week. In the position I am currently in there are no growth opportunities in this hospital. Since there is a recurring cycle of people who come and go, there is always new managers and staff which doesn't create a great stable work environment. This hospital isn't the worst, but it also needs lots of work.
I would like to see renovations in the hospital and clinics, a lot of the office furniture and buildings are very old and require a renovated look and feel. I think that the physicians and staff work very hard and deserve to have a better working atmosphere.
