Laboratory Corporation of America Reviews
From my experience, it seemed as though most employees were stressed and most locations under staffed. The pay is average. However, I had previous experience that didn't seem to validate the lower starting pay in comparison to previous employment. Requesting time off was difficult. Even when submitting a request months in advance, the employee doesn't receive an answer until the schedule is made (about a month in advance). And if it's denied, the employee has to change their plans, as switching schedules with co-workers is usually not an option.
Good environment to work in with excellent coworkers and good benefits! No need to worry about losing your job or struggling to get time off. Every Saturday we receive 2.5 hours of off time which adds up fairly quickly. It's a job you can enjoy doing. Most of the people I work with have been there for years so it is an easy job to stay at for a long time and possibly turn into a career. My only complaint is that I don't enjoy my supervisor very much, but other than that it is a really great p[lace to work Highly recommend!
There are plenty of entry level positions available, and always opportunities to advance. Work is very detail oriented because you are essentially affecting people's lives. Best thing about Lab Corp is the benefits and vacation hours you receive. Also, take advantage of the opportunities they offer, including the potential of tuition reimbursement.
